The openAPC Foundation is providing the platform to distribute, to maintain and to develop the open source based modules. The tasks and responsibilities are as following:

Governance

Creation and maintenance of transparent cooperation and communication rules, including member structure and member services, Roadmap Management, consortial and collaborative Software Development and licensing.

Best Practice Software Development

Design and administration of a Development Process with all steps, roles, rules and rights to add open source to the openAPC Foundation (Project Management, OSGi Compatibility Management, Design, Documentation).

Intellectual Property

To avoid the usage of foreign IP (documentation of the contributions, IP log, Committer Agreement, Patents / Violations, Code Review). Further Information can be found in the openAPC Foundation White Paper.
